Nearly there.
Mrs Ellis left us and Mr Dee joined us today.
I would like to personally thank Mrs Ellis for her support this week and helping to make this adventure as enjoyable as possible. The poor woman keeps trying to retire, so what do we do? We put her on duty for 24 hours a day for 3 straight days. I like to think that it's keeping her young.
Mr Dee hit the ground running. No sooner had he dropped his luggage in his room than he was straight into the children's dormitories for room inspections. Winter Class were thrilled to see him.
Not long after that, he was burying arrows into the gold section of the archery target and leaping off platforms in the trapeze. He even let the children have a go.
Usually by Thursday, the children are struggling with their energy levels but they've continued to sing their way to each activity, shoot targets, climb poles, jump off platforms and then devour ridiculous amounts of food (and biscuits).
This evening, the children had the choice of attending the disco or having a quiet night in with a film. Most of the children chose a film. We concluded our day with certificates of achievement. Their certificates represent some of the fun or silly things they may be remembered for this week.
Next Friday (14/11/25), I'm hoping we can invite all the parents to a PGL Residential presentation where you too can experience and learn about all the fun we have had this week. I'll try to condense the 12GB of video and photographs that we now have into a 20 minute film.
We have two more activities tomorrow. We hope to be back around 2pm.
When you get your children home, put them in the bath/shower and then put them to bed.
