Day 1
Classic start to the day. There's always one child who leaves something behind. Why would OT need his coat? It's not likely to rain this week. Fortunately, his kind and caring teacher checked the class before we left. His kind and caring teacher did not share his lunch with the child who forgot hers.
The journey to Liddington was uneventful. Nobody broke into song which was greatly appreciated. However, in my conversations with AM, I now know how to distress a cucumber.
Our group leader Maggie played some games with the children before heading out for our first activities - zip wire and orienteering. Massively impressed with my group. Every child made it to the top of the zip wire tower which is an extraordinary feat and all bar one stepped off into the abyss. Great fun!
The orienteering was also hugely successful.
The children are currently settling into their rooms after a very good evening meal of fish fingers or chicken and pasta. TC did not conform to the 3 second rule of eating food off the floor once you've dropped it. He did drop an entire tray of food. Fortunately, nobody noticed - apart from me.
This evening's evening activity is Ambush.
