Christian Vision

Our School's Christian Vision

Through ‘Love of Learning, Love of Life, Love of Christ,’ we aim to ensure that our school is a place which helps children to reach their potential within an environment that helps and nurtures them to a positive purpose in life being true to themselves and others.

Our School Values

We have 5 school Christian values:

Respect –  is treating others how you wish to be treated.

Don't be jealous or proud but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves.  (Philippians 2:3) – Bible Story: The Good Samaritan.

In our school we will be polite, think about how others feel and show respect for everyone and everything.  Through this value we recognise that the Holy Spirit is the invisible power that comes alive in us when we respect everything and others.

Effort - is always trying your best.

Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn’t you leave the ninety- nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it?  (Luke 15:4-7) – Bible Story: The Lost Sheep.

In our school, we will always try our best in our work, play and our lives.

Aim High – is all about trying everything even if you don’t feel confident.

After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’ (Matthew 25: 14-39) Bible Story: the Parable of the Talents.

In our school, we will aim high by setting ourselves new challenges.

Care and Love –  is looking after/out for others and putting others before ourselves.

The father said, ’you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. (Luke 15: 11-32) The Parable of the Lost Son.

In our school we will care and show love for ourselves, each other and our environment. Through this value we recognise that God the Father is Love.  When we show love to others, God lives in us.

Honesty – is saying what we mean and meaning what we say, whilst still showing Care and Love.

Zacchaeus just stood there, a little stunned. He stammered apologetically, “Master, I will give away half my income to the poor – and if I’m caught cheating, I pay four times the damages”. (Luke 19: 1 -10) – Bible Story: Zacchaeus the Tax Collector.

In our school we will be honest with one another in our work and play.  Through this value we recognise that we must be true to the way of living that God has shown us in Jesus.
