On Tuesday, Hurstbourne Tarrant competed against 8 other schools in the rural schools cross country at Charlton playing field. We started off really well with the Year 3 and 4 girls with two girls from Autumn Class coming in the top 10 and the other girls just coming outside the group.
Next, we moved onto the Year 3 and 4 boys who really tried their hardest and placed well. After the final race in the Year 3 and 4 category, we moved onto the Year 5 and 6 girl’s race. For this race they extended the track a little further down towards the end of the field. However, this didn’t stop us, we powered on through the race with once again, two girls finishing in the top 10 and the rest of the team just outside.
Finally, the Year 5 and 6 boy’s race began. Just after starting Freddie fell over, despite this, he got up and managed to place in top 6 with Wilf; the other boys trying their very hardest.
We would like to thank Mrs White for organising the wonderful event we would also like to thank Mr Price, Mrs Olding and Mrs Avery-Hall for making sure we all got there safely. We would also like to thank all the people who took part in this event. There is one more group of people that we would like to thank, the parents deserve great thanks for cheering us on and keeping us motivated throughout the race.
